Welcome to The PARC Group's new 'Team Member Spotlight' blog series! To kick us off, we interviewed new Marketing Coordinator, Lauren Witkovich, who provides insight into the marketing department and discusses her transition from intern to full-time employee.
Hi Lauren, thanks for sharing your morning with us! To start, can you tell us about what you do at The PARC Group and what you enjoy most about your role?
Good-morning! I am the Marketing Coordinator at The PARC Group. I started working here as a Marketing Intern during the summer between my sophomore and junior year of college. I returned the following summer and worked as an intern, until I was hired into a full-time position. What I love most about my role is that it is collaborative and creative. As the Marketing Coordinator, I help to facilitate the social media and digital marketing efforts for PARC Group communities.
What is the biggest thing you learned from your transition from intern to full-time employee?
I learned so much valuable information during my time as an intern! I was able to grasp much of the technique and strategy behind the marketing operations, but the biggest takeaways were intangible skills, like problem-solving, thorough and effective communication, trusting my gut, and prioritization. Those skills are just the tip of the iceberg and I’m so excited to continue to grow in my new position.
Can you take us through an average morning at the office?
No day is exactly the same. On days in the office, I usually arrive at 8:30am and make a cup of green ginger tea as my computer starts up. I’ll go through emails and messages to make sure I’m up-to-date and didn’t miss anything from the day prior. I then touch base with each of the marketing managers to see what tasks I can help them with for the day. After that, I am able to create a to-do list and prioritize tasks for the remainder of the day. Then I get started!
Who do you work closely with?
As a member of The PARC Group’s Marketing Team, I work closely with our Marketing Director, Digital Marketing Manager, Social Media Marketing Manager, and Welcome Center Manager. While I correspond with all four managers daily, I collaborate with our Social Media Marketing Manager most.
You mentioned that you loved your role because it has a creative aspect to it. Where have you been finding inspiration for projects or tasks you are working on throughout the day?
Marketing is a continually evolving field, so I am constantly looking for new ideas by researching online and seeing what other people are doing, then trying it out on my own. Also, my team members inspire me everyday to strive for my full creative potential. I love being able to brainstorm and develop ideas together! Implementing and seeing the initiatives we created come to fruition is extremely rewarding.
What are some new marketing initiatives you’re excited about?
We have been incorporating some new social media initiatives in Nocatee and eTown that I’m excited to continue to execute. We’ve been going "live" on Nocatee's Instagram each week to discuss upcoming events, as well as general development updates. It’s such a blast to film those and to see the engagement from followers! Also, Nocatee recently created a TikTok account for sharing everything from neighborhood information and resident event recaps to fun dance videos in the Spray Water Park! Over in eTown, we're beginning to feature the "live" Instagram videos as well, but instead of resident events, we are currently broadcasting live walk-through videos of builders' new model-homes. They're all expertly-designed with cutting-edge smart-home technology, so exploring each of the homes is always fascinating.
Growing up, what was your favorite subject in school?
Music! Or English if we're speaking academically.
Peanut Butter Mousse Cake from Biscotti’s!
What’s something exciting that’s happened to you recently?
I graduated from Texas Christian University in May with a BBA in Marketing. Go Frogs!
What’s a phrase you live by?
Attitude is everything. Approach each day with a grateful heart.

The people – everyone is so positive and encouraging. They truly motivate me to display diligence in my work and my relationships everyday! I'm so excited to continue to grow with this amazing company.
